The minimum and maximum projected annualized salary for this position is: $67,482.00 to $105,166.80. Additional compensation may be possible based on experience and skills.

 

We understand the need to be creative and flexible when it comes to telecommuting and other alternative work arrangements. This position is eligible for our hybrid remote work and will work in the Tysons Corner, VA office four days per week.

Responsibilities

Under supervision, the SBA Portfolio Manager works with the Relationship Managers (RMs) and the department leaders to help grow and manage the portfolio. In conjunction with the RMs, meets with potential/existing customers to discuss loan prospects and options. Coordinates and communicates with customers and RMs through the process of meeting, loan approval, closing, funding and maintenance of the relationship through the term of the customer relationship.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent
  • 2 years commercial credit analysis experience or portfolio management (or a combination thereof) Succesful completion of a formal commercial credit training program will be considered in lieu of this requirement
  • Experience with Small Business Administration loans (ie underwriting, closing, servicing or liquidation)



Preferences:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)
  • 3 years 3 additional years of credit analysis experience or portfolio management (other relevant lending experience will be considered)
  • Familiarity with commercial credit transactions and structuring Experience with C&I, CRE, Small Business, and other government guaranteed lending programs will be considered
  • Familiarty with commercial loan documentation
  • Capital Access Financial System
  • E-Tran
  • Commercial credit/underwriting knowledge
  • Solid understanding of SBA SOPs
  • Familiarity with SBA lending programs including Standard 7(a), 7(a) Small Loan, SBA Express, Export Express, International Trade, and CAPLines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of bank depository services (eg checking, savings, and certificate of deposit accounts, ACH and wire transactions)
  • Successful completion of a formal credit training program
